GOPIO New Zealand endeavors to partake in various projects each year, including educational seminars, fundraising and social events. We have open invitations and welcome anyone that would like to attend.

We aim to organise yearly seminars to educate and raise awareness amongst  the Indian community in New Zealand. In the past, we have held seminars on parenting in the 21st century, domestic violence, financial literacy, and general health and well-being.

GOPIO NZ also organises fundraising events for community projects or in response to natural calamities around the globe. We have successfully fundraised more than $20,000 for the Nepal earthquake, Vanuatu cyclone Pam, Christchurch earthquake, and St Johns ambulance.

Individual chapters are also often involved in smaller community fundraising projects, such as GOPIO Wellington and their involvement in fundraising for St John’s Ambulance.

We hold annual anniversary functions to celebrate GOPIO NZ’s successes and acknowledge all the hard work and dedication our members have in making a difference in the lives of the Indian community in New Zealand. Our members come from all walks of life and bring with them immense expertise in their own fields.

We also have regular social gatherings so that we continue to connect and build bonds within the organisation.
